Buying a Memory Foam Mattress Pad

Do you want a memory foam mattress but just don't have the thousands of dollars that it takes to get one? No problem. The next best thing is available to you for under $200.

You can get a foam mattress pad which is a thin layer of foam that you sit on top of your mattress for under $200. In all honesty it will not be as comfortable or as supportive as a full-scale memory foam mattress but it will do the trick as far as giving you much more support and much more comfort than just your old, worn out spring mattress you're sleeping on now.

How Does It Work?

The foam in a mattress pad is made up of thousands of tiny little foam cells that are all heat and pressure reactive. This means that when you lay down on the foam it absorbs your body head and softens up. Then as it softens up the pressure and weight from your body push you down into the foam.

As you sink the foam conforms to your body shape and this is what gives you the incredible support that this foam gives you.

The weight of your body is dispersed over the entire top of the mattress so that you don't feel pressure points. Pressure points are what cause you aches and pains at night. They are also responsible for making you toss and turn (which is what makes you have a lousy nights sleep).

So if you don't' have the budget for a full mattress then go with the pad because it's better than nothing!
